These are classes that I developed and I teach online. There are links below the description to give you more detail about each class. The initial classes will be book promotion and character development. You can also get more information on a new forum that I moderate - http://writersonlinecourses.com/Forum/ Dynamic Characters - I developed a series of character development classes which are loosely based on the Nancy Kress book - Dynamic Characters. These classes are offered through Writer's Village University and is attended by registered members. The last time I checked, the book was discontinued. It was taken off the market after I began facilitating the classes. I rewrote the classes so anyone could take them, with or without the book. I've been facilitating them since 2001 and have watched many writers go from a simple idea and create characters which are full detailed and they also built a story around these characters. Many people have taken the series of three classes, but only one woman has taken all the classes each year I facilitated them. This is what she had to say:
Nikki Leigh was the facilitator in three classes I took through Writer's
Village University, an online writing organization. She provided motivation,
specific examples in writing exercises, and encouraged innovation in my
writing endeavors. Also patient with obvious mistakes, she tactfully made
suggestions to improve the writing and the story.
From someone who was hesitant about writing as most writers are, I am now
working on a story I hope can be developed into a book. Nikki showed
patience and enthusiasm in all three classes. I would highly recommend her as
she's a natural teacher.
