Cape Ann Coast, Massachusetts

Planting the Seeds of a Story - I visited the Cape Ann coast in September of 2001. This was shortly after the movie the Perfect Storm was released. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and learning about people of Gloucester and the lives they lived. So, when my brother and I traveled to Cape Cod that autumn, I insisted we visit Gloucester. The area is beautiful and I have interspersed some pictures throughout the website. We saw the twin lighthouses on Thatcher Island which are shown in the beginning of the movie. (George Clooney's character waved to the keeper's children.) The location of the Crow's Nest was pointed out as we drove near the docks. It seemed like a step back in time and my imagination began to reel.
Eastern Point Lighthouse - Stormy View was completed when I dug out one more map. To my surprise (honestly) I was surprised to find that there is a lighthouse in the location of my fictional lighthouse. It's the Eastern Point Lighthouse.
